The rhythm was created in the style of traditional Mande music.
The rhythm is contemporary and is not considered to be an “ancient” traditional piece.
The rhythm is divided into two segment: one in duple meter (transformed Tiriba) and one in triple meter (transformed Djolé).
Festivals: The rhythm was written for the sole purpose of performance during the National Festival (a celebration of Guinea winning independence from France in 1958).
